Pine Island's beautiful beach is on Florida's Nature Coast overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, close to Spring Hill. Just 1 1/2 hours to the Disney theme parks and an hour to Busch Gardens, it is ten minutes to Weeki Wachee mermaid attraction, where you can canoe and kayak down the crystal clear Weeki Wachee, Chassahowitzka, and Homosassa Rivers.

Pine Island and the Spring Hill area is the perfect location for a relaxing vacation. There are plenty of sporting activities, beaches, shops and restaurants all within a short drive. The Nature Coast has thousands of acres reserved for recreation and conservation. Crystal clear springs are famed for their depth, underground caverns, exotic fish and clarity. Saltwater enthusiasts find superb opportunities along the entire Nature Coast. The salt flats and deep sea fishing grounds are hailed for the abundance and variety of fish.

Whether relaxing on the water, playing one of more than 50 golf courses, or cycling, hiking or horseback riding on one of the numerous nature trails, visitors enjoy seeing the abundance and variety of rare Florida wildlife in its natural habitat. Visitors to the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park can observe the West Indian Manatees along with thousands of fresh and saltwater fish. The area is also a winter home for thousands of migratory birds.

Bayport is 1 mile from Pine Island with picnic areas, fishing and beautiful sunsets most evenings.
